Anne Hathaway’s ex boyfriend, Raffaello Follieri, has been arrested for fraud, money laundering and conspiracy to commit wire fraud. Hathaway broker up with him earlier this month.

The AP report that Follieri, who is due in federal court on Tuesday  (June 24th), is accused of lying to investors, he claimed he was the CFO of the Vatican.

He is in some serious trouble, facing prison for life. Hathaway is not mentioned directly in the complaint but they do talk about his “then girlfriend”, while speaking about how he used funds o pay for his $37,000 a month apartment and some holidays.

One part of the complain also claims that he kept clergy robes somewhere in his office so he oculd “beef up his alleged Vatican connections”

Hathaway’s rep refused to comment.
