The Variety reports that Sarah Michelle Gellar is looking to finally return to television in a half-hour project with Charles Randolph, a writer for HBO.

The Wonderful Maladys is set in Gotham and revolves around the dysfunctional lives of three adult siblings who lost their parents at a young age.

The former Buffy The Vampire Slayer actress’ character is described as “a kind of zealous immaturity, like a drug addict with a to-do list.”

Randolph, who will produce the show along with Gellar,tells the trade that when writing the script he had Gellar and HBO in mind for the show, the pilot is to begin shooting early next year.
