TMZ reports the Hairspray actress Amanda Bynes was involved in a car accident on Saturday (August 23) in Los Angeles, CA.

This is the actress’s second car crash this year, apparently the 22-year-old hit another car while she made a left turn at Oakwood and Crescent Heights around 2 pm.

The other driver had minor damage and no charges were filed against the actress, Bynes walked away unharmed as well.

Amanda Bynes was spotted arriving at LAX airport in Los Angeles on Friday afternoon (June 20th).The Hollywood Reported report that the actress has recently scored a new gig.

Amanda has signed on to start in a Lifetime original movie, titled Living Proof. The movie will also star Angie Harmon, Bernadette Peters, Regina King, John Benjamin Hickey and Harry Connick Jr amongst others.

Renee Zellweger, Craig Zadan and Neil Meron are all producing the movie, which is based on Robert Bazell’s book and is about Dennis Slamon (Connick), the UCLA doctor who developed the breast cancer drug Herceptin.

In the movie, which will shoot in New Orleans, Bynes will plays Slamon’s assisant. This isn’t the first time the cast and producers have worked together, it will be a reunion for Zadan and Meron.

On the cast, Zadan said“Instead of going to our Rolodexes, we went to our e-mail address books,” he continued to say that Zellweger also “wrote beautiful e-mails to people she had a personal relationship with, telling them what we were trying to accomplish with this movie.”
