David Beckham practiced his soccer playing skills in Toronto, Canada on Wednesday (July 23), rather than wearing his LA Galaxy the soccer stud put on his MLS All Stars kit.

The MLS team play England’s West Ham soccer team on Thursday night (July 24), Beckham blogged about the game on his official website, he said “next up, is the MLS All-Stars game, which myself, Landon and Edson Buddle have been selected for. We play West Ham United in Toronto and I’m really looking forward to the match, as it’ll be the first time I’ve played against them since I left Manchester United. They are always a very competitive team, so it should be a great game.”

The soccer ace also spoke with USA Today about soccer being number one on his priority list, “My soccer comes before anything I do — obviously not before my family, but anything else, Soccer’s No. 1. It’s the reason why I’m the ambassador for the MLS and do different things in my life. People know that my priority’s with soccer.”

Soccer stud David Beckham and wife Victoria Beckham attended the 2008 ESPY Awards which were held at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on Wednesday (July 16). This is the 16th annual ESPY Awards to be held since the awards debuted in 1993.

The LA Galaxy soccer ace is attending the awards to present an award for the show which airs on ESPN on Sunday (July 20).

The ESPY awards give a portion of the proceeds they make to The V Foundation, named after its founder Jim Valvano.

The soccer star blogged on his official website about his year in Los Angeles, he said, “It seems like only a few weeks ago I arrived in Los Angeles with my family ready for the next chapter in our lives. A year later and we feel so settled here, everyone loves California and everyone has made us feel so welcome. I can’t imagine being anywhere else in the world right now. My teammates have been great to me and we have a brilliant set of fans. I’m thankful to them and to the people of Los Angeles for making my family and I so welcome since we arrived here.”

This is a special post because it’s not often that we see Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel out together, let alone smiling and holding hands.

The couple were spotted at the opening of Kress club in Los Angeles on Friday night (July 11). Don’t forget Timberlake is hosting the ESPY awards next Sunday, July 20. The awards will air live on ESPN at 9PM ET from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, be sure to check us for the arrivals, Zac Efron, Sophia Bush, David Beckham, Alex Rodriguez, Tiger Woods, Lance Armstrog and Kate Hudson are all set to attend.

In honor of hosting the awards, the singer wrote some random thoughts for The Chicago Tribune, here are some of them:

“I was pretty good at soccer. I was fast. I played forward. I could get up and down the field. You couldn’t pay me enough to do that now. It’s a year-round commitment. I don’t know if I have what they have to run up and down the field. I’m too used to the vices that come with being a musician.”

“I have the utmost respect for goalies after learning how to play a goalie in that film (The Love Guru). I got a crash course in hockey. They’re probably the most physically adept and coordinated athletes to be able to skate as quick as they do. Until you stand on the rink and watch how fast they move, you can’t appreciate it.”

“In recent years, I would say Tiger Woods. When I was growing up, Michael Jordan was my favorite athlete. I think Tiger Woods is the Michael Jordan of this era. The most recognizable athletes are probably him and David Beckham. I would probably say my favorite athlete is Tiger Woods.”

Ask me what profession I’d trade my piano and guitar for and it would be a nine iron.

Victoria Beckham and her bff Kate Beckinsale spent the day together on Sunday (June 29), the superstar mothers took their children out for some ice skating on the sunny afternoon.

Of course, Victoria and Kate didn’t go on the ice, instead they left that job to Kate’s husband, Len Wiseman. The reason David Beckham wasn’t there to spend the family day out is because he was off for a football match, his team, LA Galaxy vs DC United.

In other news, it has been reported that you may soon be able to drink Beckham, the soccer star is reportedly considering changing his deal with Pepsi and launching his own bottled water with the company..

A source said, “David Beckham has had a fantastic relationship with Pepsi - it’s one of the longest running contracts in its history, but after 10 years he feels there are other things he could do. He is a global brand in himself and there is more scope for him to promote his own products. He has an idea for creating a range of healthy products, including water. That’s something PepsiCo might develop with him.”

The source then added, “David is keen to go down the healthy route to keep in with his sporty image. And Pepsi is desperate to keep him. So who knows…”

Soccer hunk Cristiano Ronaldo was photographed on vacation with his girlfirend Nereida Gallardo in Sardina on Thursday afternoon (June 26).

Dressed in a skimpy pair of red, white and black shorts, the soccer star sunbathing and played wiht his girlfriend in the sea water, all the while wearing a pair of aviator sunglasses.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo could be following in David Beckhams place, he has played with Mancester United for quite some time, but now just like with Becks, Spanish team Real Madrid have offered a huge sum of money for the soccer star. We are talking around £70 million (GBP) which is about $139 million in dollars.

A source to Ronaldo said, “He is not scared of his new Real Madrid engagement and every time they wanted good players they got them. Now it depends on his personal plans. If he wants to play there he will play there.”
