Von Teese recently told the press that when buying underwear it “should make your body look better. Simple. Don’t be seduced by something that looks pretty on the hanger but doesn’t fit and lift you in the right places. If it’s not enhancing your shape, it’s useless”
She adds that you shouldn’t “be afraid of color. I think a flash of bright silk under everyday clothes looks fabulous. If you need a neutral option for light-colored clothes, try shell pink or icy blue instead of the usual white or ivory. And you can never go wrong with black lace - it’s something every woman should have in her drawer”
As quick as Jennifer Lopez was in California, she was just as quick to head back to New York City on Sunday (September 14).
Like we told you yesterday the singer/actress raised over $127,000 for the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles after taking part in the 2008 Nautica Malibu Triathlon.
Lopez and her husband Marc Anthony jumped on a plane straight after completing the race and they were out to celebrate Marc’s 40th birthday bash.
Dita Von Teese was also out to celebrate the singers birthday party.

Here are promo photos for Dita Von Teese’s new collection of retro style underwear for power company, Wonderbra. The burlesque queen says that the line was inspired by the 1940’s and 1950’s.
Speaking to the Daily Mail about the collection she said, “I love it when you can go about your daily business with the knowledge that you have a little secret of your own on underneath, lingerie shouldn’t be something you just put on for your lover; you should do it for you. It’s not about seducing men, it’s about embracing womanhood.”
As for Von Teese always looking glamorous when she goes out she says, “I know the picture the paparazzi want is me coming out of Starbucks in jeans with my hair all messy, but that’s just not going to happen, I just think that when you take a minute to look your best, you get what you want. And, I pretty much get what I want.”
Von Teese’s limited collection for Wonderbra goes on sale on September 23.
Dita Von Teese is featured in the August issue of Bizarre Magazine, the model goes nude for the photoshoot.
On rising burlesque dancers:
I’m always impressed by unique acts. I love it when I see something that comes from someone’s imagination, rather than what they saw another dancer doing. It is possible to do something new. There’s a girl in NYC called Narcissister, and her acts are genius.
On what advice she would give aspiring burlesque dancers:
Do some research and don’t follow a formula. The things that make you different are the things that make you valuable. It just makes sense!

Dita Von Teese attended the ThePokerStars.net Burlesque party which celebrated The World Series of Poker on Monday night (July 7).
The event was held at Rain Nightclub, which is inside the Palms Hotel in Las Vegas. Dita, dressed in a red gown, was there to perform for the crowd.

Dita Von Teese showed up to the W Magazine party in Malibu, CA on Sunday afternoon (June 29). The party was in honor of the movie, Battle in Seattle.
Battle In Seatle is which was directing and written by Stuart Townsend, is about activists in Seattle who want to protest a meeting of the World Trade Organization. Riots and chaos ensue as demonstrators successfully stop the WTO meetings. The movie stars Townsend’s girlfriend, Charlize Theron.
Also starring in the movie is Michelle Rodriguez, Woody Harrelson, Joshua Jackson and Channing Tatum. The movie has been making its way around film festivals since 2007, it is set for a limited release on September 19th.
