For all of you Eliza Dushku and Joss Whedon fans, production on their latest project Dollhouse has been shut down for some re-writes.
The Hollywood Report say that Whedon has been so busy directing that he didn’t have time to check up on the upcoming scripts for the show, so when he did he felt it wasn’t going as good as it should be.
The Buffy The Vampire Slayer creator shut down production on the show so they can do a lot of rewrites, but don’t worry, since the the show is a mid season show it is ahead of schedule and will resume shooting on September 25.

Eliza Dushku was on hand to attend Nylon Magazine’s pre 2008 MTV Video Music Award party on Thursday night (September 4) in Los Angeles, CA.
Dushku is currently putting the final touches on Dollhouse, which will premiere in January 2009, the show is about a futuristic laboratory assigns different tasks to its various residents, who then have their memories erased upon the completion of their assignments

Former Buffy The Vampire Slayer actress Eliza Dushu has come under fire from animal rights activists group PETA after admitting she hunts and kills elk and deer.
While on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday night (August 6) to promote her new movie Bottle Shock the actress admitted that last Christmas she had hunted elk and deer.
After saying this the audience and Luke Wilson remained silent so Dushku joked “My mother called me herself and said, ‘You’re a liberal from New England, what the ‘f’ are you doing in Oklahoma shooting things.”
She then went on to say “When you’re in a relationship with somebody you have to, like, experience things that they do. A lot of people eat meat… and I eat what I kill.”
These comments didn’t sit well with PETA who said “Slaying bloodthirsty vampires on Buffy is brave, but slaying innocent animals where they live and raise their families is cowardly and cruel. Eliza is sorely out of step with the rest of the country; 95 per cent of Americans oppose hunting.”
Thoughts on the subject?

Eliza Dushku attended a screening of her new movie Bottle Shock at the Southampton Cinema in South Hampton, NY on Sunday (August 3).
The actress posed with her ever present brother Nate Dushku and co-star Rachel Taylor.
Bottle Shock which has a limited release on Friday, August 8 is about the story of the early days of California wine making featuring the now infamous, blind Paris wine tasting of 1976 that has come to be known as “Judgment of Paris”.

Eliza Dushku looked stunning as she attended the Comic Con Entertainment Weekly and Sci Fi Channel party at the hotel Solamar in San Diego, California on Saturday.
Eliza was at the San Diego Comic Con over the weekend to promote her upcoming show Dollhouse. Eliza along with director Joss Whedon spoke to EW about the show, you can watch what they have to say here

Joss Whedon has decided to re-shoot the pilot episode for his new Fox show, Dollhouse which features former Buffy The Vampire Slayer actress Eliza Dushku.
In a post on Whedonesque.com he said that both he and Fox are happy with the pilot but they didn’t feel it was the right way to capture viewers. He said, “I’m very proud of the ep we shot and the series is making me crazy with the excitement. But I tend to come at things sideways, and there were a few clarity issues for some viewers. There were also some slight issues with tone – I was in a dark, noir kind of place (where, as many of you know, I make my home), and didn’t bring the visceral pop the network had expected from the script. The network was cool about it, but not sure how to come out of the gate with the ep.”
He continued “the idea to do a new first episode wasn’t the network’s. It was mine. I understood their consternation, and saw the gap between my style and their expectations, and I suggested I shoot a new ep and make the one I’d shot the second. It isn’t going to be buried, like the pilot of Firefly. It’s simply coming after another, slightly cleaner ep. And because unlike Firefly, it isn’t a two hour epic which introduces everyone to each other, the onus isn’t on the new ep to explain a million things.
The fact is, Fox ordered the series before we shot a frame and then, after the strike, I had literally two months to write and prep the whole thing. Which means simply that the network has to figure out what they might want to tweak AFTER it was shot, unlike a pilot. Buffy didn’t make the fall sched, Angel got shut down when they saw the second ep outline… it’s birth pangs. The network truly gets the premise (this is a whole new crew, as you know), loves the cast, is excited about the show – but they’re also specific about how they want to bring people to the show and I not only respect that, I kinda have to slap my forehead that I didn’t tailor my tone and structure to the network’s needs, since that’s something I pride myself on.”
Whedon then goes on to say that because of this they wont be able to show scenes at this weeks Comic-Con but he and Dushku will attend.

It was a mini Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel reunion as Eliza Dushku posed with David Boreanaz and Joss Whedon at the Fox All-Star Party at the Santa Monica Pier in Santa Monica, CA on Monday night (July 14).
Boreanaz’s hit show Bones will return to Fox in the Fall, while Dushku’s show Dollhouse which is created by Whedon will premiere in January and run for 13 episodes.
