Katherine Heigl spent the day with her family on Monday (July 21), the Grey’s Anatomy actress was spotted doing a bit of sopping in Pasadena, CA.

As for her job on Grey’s Anatomy, there is still rumors that she is going and staying, ABC entertainment president Stephen McPherson denied the rumors that Heigl will be on her way out, “She’s absolutely staying with the show, there’s an unbelievable storyline for her which is really central to everything that’s going to go on this season. We’re really excited about that.”

Conflicting reports today about Katherine Heigl’s future on Grey’s Anatamy. There has been a ton of reports and rumors regarding the actress getting killed off from the show after upsetting producers it has even been reported that the Grey’s producers are preparing for some new blood on the show.

A “well placed source” source tells USMagazine that Heigl’s character Izzie Stevens is indeed on her way out, possibly from a brain tumor. The source say that creator of the show Shonda Rhimes and the writers for the show “are pissed at her, it’s their way of screwing with her. She won’t know whether she’s going to live or die.” Another source then went on to joke “If her character does get a brain tumor, she’ll probably get an Emmy!”

Meanwhile People are reporting that Heigl is not leaving the show, with ABC entertainment president Stephen McPherson saying “She’s absolutely staying with the show, there’s an unbelievable storyline for her which is really central to everything that’s going to go on this season. So should Heigl stay or go?

Katherine Heigl was spotted out for a jog on Sunday afternoon (July 13). The Grey’s Anatomy gave the paparazzi a wave as she made her way through her Los Feliz neighborhood.

Once finished getting her exercise on, Heigl met up with her mother Nancy for some lunch at a restaurant in Los Angeles.

There has been no confirmation or denials over whether or not Katherine will remain on Grey’s or if she will be killed off.

It has been rumored several times that Grey’s Anatomy will be losing Katherine Heigl as a cast member, there has been reports the Knocked Up actress has wanted to be off the show for quite some time, while insiders have said that the people on the show have grown tired of Heigl “running her mouth.”

Now Marc Malkin from E! is reporting that that creator of the show, Shonda Rhimes has considered killing of Heig’s character, Izzie Stevens. This comes fresh from Heigl removing herself from this year’s Emmy race.

A source said “It’s not good there, Shonda is pissed. They’re thinking of killing her off. They want Izzie dead.”

When contacted, a rep for Shonda said “I haven’t heard anything about that.” Network ABC wouldn’t comment.

Katherine Heigl stopped by her friend and costar T.R. Knight’s home in Los Feliz on Thursday afternoon (June 26). The Grey’s Anatomy stars hugged as they said goodbye to each other before Heigl headed on home.

Heigl has spoken to Life & Style, but she didn’t address the controversy head on, when asked if she will return to the show, she said “Of course, absolutely. Those people are like my family. It’s so funny because we have such serious material to perform, and then we spend the whole day joking around.”

But just in case Heigl does indeed not return to the show, which it is very possible she will be written out soon if rumors in Hollywood are to be believed, bosses of the show have a back up plan “They already have a wish list of who can fill the void, They will introduce a new, intense blond bombshell who will get people talking about the show like they used to.”
