Hilary Duff is standing up for the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network by appearing in new ad for them.

The 21-year-old is spotted shopping in a store when a teen girl asks her friend if she likes her top, the friend says “that’s so gay.”

Duff then steps in and says the phrase is bad and asks people to knock it off.

The Lohan family and O.J.’s family aren’t the only ones who are at war, you can now add Hilary Duff’s parents to the list of dysfunctional families.

During a divorce hearing in Texas, her parents Bob and Susan were fighting over the singer’s upcoming 21st birthday party.

Susan wanted $25,000 from her Bob to help fund the party and present for her daughters 21st birthday on September 28, because that is what they paid for Haylie Duff’s party a couple of years a go.

Susan said “I know he’s a millionaire, and he’s got the funds” and that Hilary is “emotionally upset by the abandonment of her father.”

Eventually the judge ordered Bob pay $12,500 for the party as well as ordering him to 10 days in jail for selling assets without conset or knowledge from the courts, he must also pay back the $367,537 he earned from selling stocks.

Hilary Duff seems to be unlike most celebrities, while others would have their assistant go do their daily jobs, Duff takes it all on her own.

The actress/singer was photographed all over Los Angeles, CA on Friday (Saturday 22) running daily errands from stopping off for some wrapping paper to dropping off her dry cleaning.

The 20-year-old singer is set to turn the big 21 next month on September 28 while her boyfriend, Mike Comrie is set to turn 28 on September 11, we wonder what kind of plans the couple have.

Hilary Duff was spotted leaving Il Sole restaurant with boyfriend Mike Comrie in Hollywood, CA on Friday night (August 15).

The couple sparked rumors that they are engaged as the paparazzi spotted the singer/actress wearing a ring on her wedding finger.

Hilary Duff and her boyfriend, Mike Comrie went out to do some shopping in Los Angeles on Sunday (July 6). The couple brought along a four legged friend, one of Hilary’s dogs.

A source close to Hilary recently told the media, “She’s really into Mike and would like to get married and start a family, so she’s looking for a second opinion about whether he’d be a good fit for her in the long run.”

To which the friend gave her approval and said, “Hilary is so happy!”

Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie headed out for some sushi at Katusya in West Hollywood on Tuesday night (July 1st).

Earlier that day, paparazzi photographed Hilary leaving a Beverly Hills medical center. No word on why the singer/actress was visiting the medical center, lets hope she is ok.

Hilary Duff was photographed going out for a pilates class at her local gym close to her Toluca Lake home on Friday afternoon (June 20th).
