Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth are featured in the new issue of Entertainment Weekly, the two 90210 stars open up about the past, present and future.
EW: Did you ever think the two of you would be sitting here talking about playing Brenda Walsh and Kelly Taylor again?
S & J: [In unison] No.
EW: What do you think of your new costars? Does it feel like you’re watching yourselves from 18 years ago?
J: They are savvy. They know what they signed up for. They have all this knowledge about the business. It’s risky what they’re doing, but the payoff is so much bigger. The fans have expectations, but I keep telling them, ”Let us take care of the old fans. Just do your own show.’”
S:They’re far more prepared than we ever could have been. And they’re amazing
Brenda Walsh is officially back, the cast for the new version of 90210 came out for a special party held by the CW Network in honor of the show and original bad girl Shannen Doherty was on hand for the celebrations.
Jennie Garth and her husband Peter Facinelli along with Jessica Stroup, Anna Lynne McCord, Lori loughlin and Shenae Grimes all came out for the event in Malibu CA on Saturday night (August 23).
So tell us, will you be watching the new 90210?
Jennie Garth was photographed on the set of the upcoming spin off to her 1990’s hit show, Beverly Hills 90210 on Tuesday (July 1st).
Garth seemed to be enjoying herself as she shot an episode for, 90210 : The Next Generation. In the new series, Garth will resume the role of Kelly Taylor, only this time around she is playing a teacher at West Beverly High.
In other news, the show might have another original cast member joining and it is the one everybody has wanted, Shannen Doherty.
Sources tell Michael Ausiello from EW.com that Doherty is in talks to once again play the role of Brenda Walsh. The only problem is that , “she wants to know what the story is going to be first.” Oh and she wants more money than they are offering.
Other problems are the fact that Doherty, Garth and Tori Spelling aren’t exactly close. So in your opinion, does the show need Brenda Walsh?
