Rachel McAdams has just signed on to the cast of Guy Ritchie’s upcoming movie, Sherlock Holmes, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

According to the Reporter, the movie takes its cue from a forthcoming comic book that producer Lionel Wigram wrote as a selling tool for a new take on the classic character. The concept sees Holmes as more adventurous and less stuffy than previous screen incarnations and mines more obscure character traits.

McAdams will play Holme’s love interest, Irene Adler, a character that only appeared in one of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s books, but if there is any sequels she will return.

Robert Downey Jr. will play Holmes, Jude Law will play his assistant Watson and Mark Strong will play Blackwood, the main villain.

Shooting is to begin next month.

A mystery woman was spotted coming out of Jude Law’s home in London, England on Friday (July 4), the woman’s hair was wet, as if she had just had a shower.

Later that day, Law, was spotted at the airport where he met actor, Sean Pertwee. The mystery woman was also spotted at the airport, where they all took a flight to Los Angeles.

Law is reportedly dating model, Lily Cole, according to the Sunday Mirror, the pair have been going out for romantic meals in London together.

A source said, “Jude was keeping low-key. They were deep in conversation and making each other laugh. There was no blatant kissing but it was obvious they were more than just friends. Jude was being very affectionate and gazing into her eyes.”

Jude Law and Kimberley Stewart were sucking each other’s face off at Z-List 195 Nightclub in Essex, England on Saturday.

“We couldn’t believe it when we saw Kimberly Stewart snogging the face off Jude Law. They were really going at it and barely came up for air.“He’s the first big name we have ever seen in there. So myself and my friends walked over and asked if we could have our photo taken with them. But they said no, turned back to face each other again then carried on kissing.” The Sun

Bodyguards then took the camera of the girls and gave the photos to Jude who deleted the photo, how rude. Not to worry though, the girls got the last laugh - someone from The Sun got the photos from the memory card. So the girls made money, while getting their photos back.
