Madonna is planning on staying in London after her divorce from movie director Guy Richie. It is reported that Guy is insisting on having full access to the kids
“There are lots of things about England that I love, but my husband isn’t one of them” according to The Sun.
“Everyone expected Madonna to up sticks and go and live in New York, taking the children with her, but despite some of the unhappy memories that London holds, she still feels that it’s the best base for the kids”.
Liz Rosenberg, Madonna’s rep, tells the Associated Press: “I will not be commenting on the various reports regarding the divorce or of the settlement which has not been finalized.”
It has been rumored many times before, but it seems this time it is real, Madonna and Guy Richie are finished.
The couple who have been married for eight years “can’t bear to live with the pretense any longer,” a source told The Sun. Richie is set to pocket up to $100 million in a settlement.
“Despite huge attempts to patch things up, they both knew deep down that divorce was in the cards. It wasn’t a matter of ‘if’ but ‘when.’ They tried hard over the past few months, but their fighting was getting out of control.
“The final straw came before Madonna started her US tour.”
Update: Madonna’s rep has confirmed the divorce, a statement is to be released anytime now.

Meanwhile during a concert over the weekend in Meadowlands, New Jersey, the singer told fans that Sarah Palin isn’t welcome to her show.
She said “Sarah Palin can’t come to my party. Sarah Palin can’t come to my show. It’s nothing personal, Here’s the sound of Sarah Palin’s husband’s snowmobile when it won’t start,” which she followed by a loud screeching noise.
Madonna has been fined around $250,000 (135,000 GBP ) by Wembley Stadium because she broke the venue’s curfew while playing a concert there.
During the September 11 as part of her Sticky & Sweet world tour the singer went 40 minutes over the 10:30 PM curfew.
A source tells The Sun “the concert was meant to start at 8.30pm but Madonna didn’t come on stage until 9.10pm. The gig ended at 11.10pm so she was quite a bit over. “
For every 15 minutes she went past curfew she got charged an extra $90,000 (50,000 GBP) and the source says “her people knew about the possible implications for going over the curfew but this is a pretty hefty fine, even for Madonna.”
Some fans complained that because the concert had finished late, the police at the concert had to be called to help get them home because the public transport had finished.
Madonna keeps on doing her best to shock us all because while playing a concert in Rome, Italy, over the weekend the Material Girl dedicated her hit song Like A Version to none other than the Pope.
Speaking to the crowd of a strong 60,000 fans she says, “I dedicate this song to the Pope, because I’m a child of God, all of you are also children of God.”
Taking a break from her Sticky & Sweet world tour, Madonna made her self available to be arm candy for her husband Guy Ritchie for the world premiere of his new movie RocknRolla on Monday (September 1) in Leicester Square, London, England.
