Here is the first trailer for Lindsay Lohan’s new movie, Labor Pains.

The movie is about a young woman to pretends to be pregnant in order to avoid being fired from her job. When that gets her a bunch of special treatment by everyone involved in her life, she tries to keep up the lie for nine months.

It is set for a release of 2009

Tropic Thunder Still On Top

Tropic Thunder continued to hold onto the top spot at box office taking $11.5 million. It’s the third weekend in a row the Ben Stiller comedy has been at the top spot.

It managed to fight off competition from the Sci Fi Vin Diesel movie “Babylon A.D” which settled for the number 2 spot with $9.7 million, while “Disaster movie” came in at number 8 with $6.2 million.

The Dark Knight continued to make headlines as it passed $500 million, making it the only other movie to pass $500 million after the “Titanic.”

The Strangers Sequel In The Works

Variety report that Rogue Pictures is to reunite with Bryan Bertino to write a sequel to the hit horror movie, The Strangers. It is unclear if Bertino will direct the movie or not (The Strangers was his directorial debut).

The Strangers which cost just $9 million to make has grossed over $54 million so far, it will be released in the UK on Friday (August 29)

The Strangers is about couple that in an isolated home, they start to get terrorized by three masked strangers.

If the sequel (which may just see Liv Tyler return to her role) is successful they hope to turn it into a franchise, like they did with Saw.

Kristen Bell Joins Astro

Kristen Bell has signed on to give her voice to the new CG-animated movie, Astro Boy.

The Forgetting Sarah Marshall actress joins a cast of Nicolas Cage, Scarlett Johansson, Donald Sutherland, Bill Nighy, Nathan Lane, Eugene Levy and Freddie Highmore .

Astro Boy is about a powerful robot boy created by a brilliant scientist in the image of the son he has lost. Our hero journeys to find acceptance in the human world, and ultimately discovers true friendship as he uses his incredible powers to help others and save Metro City from destruction.

The movie is set for a 2009 release date.

Cher To Be Catwoman?

It has been reported that 62-year-old Cher could be in talks to play Catwoman in the upcoming third Batman movie from Christopher Nolan.

Apparently Cher will join Christian Bale for the new movie, which currently has Johnny Depp’s name going around to play The Riddler.

A source said “Cher is Nolan’s first choice to play Catwoman. He wants to her to portray her like a vamp in her twilight years. The new Catwoman will be the absolute opposite of Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry’s purring creations.”

Filming is due to being in Vancouver early 2009 and has an early title of The Caped Crusader.

Tropic Thunder Remains On Top

The numbers are in for this weekends box office ans Tropic Thunder managed to keep the number one spot by taking in $16.1 million which brings its total to $65.7 million.

New releases The House Bunny and Death Race managed to secure the number two and three spots in that order.

The House Bunny which stars Anna Faris took in $15.1 million while Death Race which stars, Jason Statham , took in $12.3 million.

The Dark Knight was knocked to number four but still took in $10.3 million, raising it’s total to $489 million and a worldwide total of $818 million.

The Longshots which is also new took in $4.3 million, while The Rocker only took #2.7 million. The top 5 is:

1.Tropic Thunder: $16.1 million
2.The House Bunny: $15.1 million
3.Death Race: $12.3 million
4.The Dark Knight: $10.3 million
5.Star Wars: The Cloe Wars, $5.7 million
