Did you know Hayden Panettiere can sing? The Heroes actress has a song called “Wake Up Call” which is going to be used in a new ad campaign for Candies, the campaign will start at the end of July and the song will be digitally released on August 5th.

The song which is described as “reggae flavored” is going to be on her upcoming debut album, to be released in 2009. Hayden signed with Hollywood Records before she was on Heroes, they say there will be a video for the song.

The record company have hired Ginger Spice, Geri Halliwells writers to pen some songs for the actress/singer.

Mary J. Blige showed up to the Raisa Gorbachev Foundation Party at Stud House, Hampton Court on Saturday (June 7th) in Kingston, England.

The singer played a show in Manchester on Friday (June 6th), Mary J just finished up her European tour and is now heading off to Australia where she will continue her tour, finally ending up in New Zealand to close the Growing Pains tour on June 17th.

U2 front man Bono aka Paul David Hewson and his wife Ali Hewson were at the Raisa Gorbachev Foundation Party at Stud House, Hampton Court on Saturday (June 7th) in Kingston, England.

Ever the charity man, Bono was sure to show up to the event. On the red carpet, the singer took a camera from one of the photographers and snapped pictures of his wife. Music wise, it has been reported that U2’s new album will be out in October.

Melanie Brown was seen leaving Heart FM studios in June on Friday (June 6th), Mel stopped to take pictures with fans, all the while giving some builders an eye full as she walked past them.

Mel is currently working on her 3rd album, she is quoted as saying “It’s an R&B-pop kind of thing, a cross between early Pink and Destiny’s Child. Urban pop. That’s what I do best, where I come from, what people know me for, I’ve recorded four songs so far with some really great people.”

She has also confirmed that she will be opening up for Janet Jackson on her tour, speaking to GMTV she said “Yep, well I’m 10 songs into my album and she worked with me on one of the tracks. I’m also doing a tour of America with her in September, which I can’t wait for. She’s a great lady.”

After Scotland and Englad, it was time for the Jonas Brothers to Ireland. Joe, Kevin and Nick were spotted outside of their hotel in Dublin on Friday (June 6th).

The threesome were playing at the RDS Simmondscourt, after the show they were heading off to Denmark. They are currently opening for Avril Lavigne on her European tour.

Jessica Smpson surprised concert goers at the 2008 CMA Music Festival Nightly Concert Show Show on Thursday (June 5th) at LP Field in Nashville.

The singer and Randy Travis addressed the crowd together, this is the first of many public appearances Jess will be making over the next couple of months to promote her country record.

First up she will be on The View on Wednesday, June 25th to perform new single Come On Over. Then Jessica will be perofrming at the Monterey County Fair in California on August 15th.
