Hayden’s Song Will Be On Your TV

Heroes star Hayden Panettiere was spotted grabbing a movie with a friend in Hollywood, CA on Wednesday afternoon (July 16).

Hayden’s single Wake Up Call has received a not so good review from Entertainment Weekly, Michael Slezak says, “Today, I shall not speak of Hayden Panettiere’s new single and video for “Wake Up Call.” Yes, I know we could all share a laugh about the Heroes star’s goat bleat “whoa-oh-oh-ohs” and the song’s Paris Hilton-lite “reggae” beat. Or we could talk about our common discomfort at watching the 18-year-old actress seductively swivel her hips, writhe her jeans over her visible red undies, and pull off an oddly accurate resemblance to Ashlee Simpson when she slips on that baggy black hoodie. But then we’d just be succumbing to the same bi-coastal media cabal that has given us a depressing baseline awareness of the “singing” careers of Heidi Montag, the sisters Simpson, and El Lohan Diablo.”

We hope you don’t hate the song because you are going to be hearing it a lot more on your TV as it has been announced it will be featured in the actress’s up coming Candie’s back to school commercials.

Miley Is Like Madonna?

Miley Cyrus has been compared to Madonna by directer Brett Ratner. Speaking to E! he said, “She turns it on, a lot like Madonna.” Retner directed Miley’s new music video 7 Things and worked with Madonna on her music video Beautiful Stranger.

“Where a lot of other artists are nervous or they’re primping, you know, Madonna walks on and is casual; cameras are on her and then all of the sudden, wow! Same thing with Miley. She’s hanging out, she’s telling the jokes, she’s laughing, she’s signing an autograph. Camera goes on her and she was just unbelievable.”

He continued “She’s just a hard worker, She knows what her job is; she came and gave me 200 percent.”

Miley’s hard working ethic isn’t the only thing that surprised Ratner, he said he got tons of calls from “friends and friends of friends” to try and be allowed in to see Miley shooting the video

“Like I said, I’ve shot for Madonna, Mariah Carey—some of the biggest artist in the world—and I’ve never had more calls, I had at least a thousand calls. ‘Can I just come by the set and watch Miley?’ and I’m like, ‘But you’re 40 years old!’ ”

Tell us, does miley remind you of Madonna?
