90210 Reunions

According to Michael Ausiello, the new 90210 will see another old cast-member return to the show.

Jason Priestley has apparently signed on to do an episode for the CW show, but instead of acting he will be directing the 18th episode of this season.

He isn’t alone either, Shannen Doherty could also be returning for two more episodes later in the season, producer Gabe Sachs said that Doherty is “in talks.”

As for if the former onscreen siblings will be working together, Sachs says “I think it would be a kick for Jason to work with any of his former 90210 costars, and it would also add something special to that episode, but we don’t know whether that will happen yet.”

Shannen Doherty Does Radar

 shannen-doherty-radar-main.JPG

Shannen Doherty is featured in the October 2008 issue of Radar Magazine, which hits newsstands on October 7.

On the worst lie she ever read about herself: “There’ve been so many. One of those bullshit rags [wrote that I’d entered AA]. They said that I was so, quote, ’scared of the drink’ that I was sleeping on my sponsor’s couch. Now, I’ve never been in AA. I accompanied my husband to AA meetings—actually, I forced him to go to one—but I’ve never actually gone for myself. Sometimes you can find some truth, a little nugget somewhere, but not one thing about this was true … But people sell their stories and make their 500 bucks at your expense, and it’s like, ‘Wow. Really?’”

On how it felt to be hated by the tabloids:
“I was exploring who I was as a person and testing my own boundaries and trying to be a normal 18-, 19-, 20-year-old, and I got raked over the coals. Many nights I cried myself to sleep over that stuff.”

Shannen And Jennie Do Entertainment Weekly

ew902103.jpg

Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth are featured in the new issue of Entertainment Weekly, the two 90210 stars open up about the past, present and future.

EW: Did you ever think the two of you would be sitting here talking about playing Brenda Walsh and Kelly Taylor again?
S & J: [In unison] No.

EW: What do you think of your new costars? Does it feel like you’re watching yourselves from 18 years ago?
J: They are savvy. They know what they signed up for. They have all this knowledge about the business. It’s risky what they’re doing, but the payoff is so much bigger. The fans have expectations, but I keep telling them, ”Let us take care of the old fans. Just do your own show.’”
S:They’re far more prepared than we ever could have been. And they’re amazing

90210 Update

Jennie Garth was photographed on the set of the upcoming spin off to her 1990’s hit show, Beverly Hills 90210 on Tuesday (July 1st).

Garth seemed to be enjoying herself as she shot an episode for, 90210 : The Next Generation. In the new series, Garth will resume the  role of Kelly Taylor, only this time around she is playing a teacher at West Beverly High.

In other news, the show might have another original cast member joining and it is the one everybody has wanted, Shannen Doherty.

Sources tell Michael Ausiello from EW.com that Doherty is in talks to once again play the role of Brenda Walsh. The only problem is that , “she wants to know what the story is going to be first.” Oh and she wants more money than they are offering.

Other problems are the fact that Doherty, Garth and Tori Spelling aren’t exactly close. So in your opinion, does the show need Brenda Walsh?
