According to Marc Malkin at E!, it’s going to be reunion’s galore at this years Emmy Awards.
Apparently producers of the show are hoping they can get the cast of Melrose Place to reunite on stage to help celebrate the 60th anniversary of the show, which will broadcast live on ABC from Los Angeles’s Nokia Theatre on Sunday, September 21.
Source say that getting the cast together could be a nightmare, they are also hoping for a Happy Days reunion and maybe some more classic shows.
The new 90210 premieres on September 2nd on The CW, but there won’t be any reviews for the show as the network are refusing to send out screeners to reporters and critics, which usually means something is pretty bad.
The network claim the movie is a “strategic marketing decision”, a statement says, “The CW and our studio partner CBS Paramount Network Television have made the strategic marketing decision not to screen ‘90210’ for any media in advance of its premiere. We’re not hiding anything… simply keeping a lid on 90210 until 9.02, riding the curiosity and anticipation into premiere night, and letting all our constituents see it at the same time.”
ABC Studios are reportedly planning to do a television version of Jennifer Lopez’s movie Maid In Manhattan which was released in 2002.
The movie followed the story of Maris Ventura (Lopez), a single mother who works as a maid in a Manhattan hotel, where she falls in love with a wealthy politician guest.
Chad Hodge is writing the TV version that sees Lopez, Joe Roth and Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas producing.
Hodge said the show will focus on Ventura’s relationship with her coworkers, he says, “the show is a different maid in a different Manhattan, While the hotel’s clientele is an obvious part of this world, I’m more interested in the downstairs part of Upstairs, Downstairs.”
According to the HollywoodReporter, ABC Studios are set to drop more money on their hit show Lost.
Apparently the two main stars of the show Matthew Fox and Evangeline Lily are in talks to get a raise in their paychecks for the show which is going into its fifth season. They are currently getting paid around $150,000 per episode.
This has caused a problem though, because it is now known the stars are in talks for more money, this has led to the other actors on the show wanting more money.
Reps for the other regulars have called ABC to open negotiations because right now they are getting around $80,000-$90,000 per episode.
The cast of Heroes came out for Comic Con 2008 at the San Diego Conference Center in San Diego, CA on Saturday (July 26). Milo Ventimiglia and girlfriend/costar Hayden Panettiere smiled and laughed with each other as they stood with the rest of the cast.
Fans who got to go to the event got to see the first hour of the season premiere, which aris Monday, September 22.
According to Kristin Dos Santos at E! the crowd gave the first hour of the two hour season premiere a good response.
The cast were asked to describe the new season in one word, Hayden said “Wonderful, magical”, while Milo said “Melt your head” and Ali Latter described it as “Fantastical”.
